For years Jack Daniels was sold in barrels, kegs and stone jugs.  Glass bottles were expensive and had to be individual hand blown.  In 1895, Lem Motlow pushed for glass bottles to be used but Jack didnt rush into it as he wanted a special bottle.  A salesman finally conviced Jack to go for a square bottle, "A square shooter like you should have a square bottle to match.  In 1992 a 1l reproduction was produced.  I still need a box for mine.
