This is my favorite decanter.  Why?  Well it was the first decanter I got.  I was given two of these in 1991 as gifts not long after I had started collecting.  I always said one would be drunk on my graduation day and it was!  The other on the birth of my first child.....about 16 years later my first child arrived but I havent opened it.  Just too valuable now.

In 1866 Congress passed legislation that required distilleries to be registered.  Jack was a foreward thinking man so he made sure he was the first.  Today in the federal record books the Jack Daniels Distillery is "Distillery No. 1".
